Dr. Mohammad Arif

Dr. Mohammad Arif (pronounced “a reef”) was raised in Southern California. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology with honors from University of California at Riverside. Following in his mother’s footsteps, Dr. Arif pursued dentistry. He completed his doctorate of dental surgery (DDS) at Columbia University in New York and was recognized for his clinical excellence with the Divisional Excellence in Prosthodontics Award.

Dr. Arif started his career in corporate dentistry, working in both West and East Texas. He then developed his own private practices in Tyler and Austin. Though he loved the breadth of scope during his years of general practice, Dr. Arif decided to further his studies by completing a masters’ degree in endodontics at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Arif is thrilled now to be serving the Champaign-Urbana community as an endodontist alongside Dr. Heath Grote. Dr. Arif is happy to perform his exams in English, Arabic, or Spanish — just ask!

While he specializes in endodontics, Dr. Arif generalizes in hobbies. He’s dabbled in Harley Davidsons, remote-control airplanes, griddles, bicycles, golf (regrettably), tennis, and classical guitar (to name a few). Above all, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife, Fatima, and their sons, Zak and Wes. They love traveling, trying new foods, adventuring outdoors and listening to podcasts.
